Judas Orion Archer

i'll be watching

from the center of the hollow moon

The silver woman was ready to go and the teenager offered a half cocked smirk as obvious interest tool hold. He was ready to go and although he and his brother had been doing well on their own with the influx of vermin in the area it had become safer to travel in larger groups. Besides, Nineva had shown a certain power about her and it was this which Judas followed - power, especially in the form of a woman since this was what he had been used to all his young life.

Two more men arrived then including a young adult and a heavy scarred up wolf. His dark haze turned to them as they came along but only briefly before turning to the stranger who spoke. He said he was coming, said that he would prefer however if Nineva chose a place to where near his former pack because they would not appreciate his company. Judas lip twitched from these words, eyes narrowing on the male a moment. It wasn't his place to tell his new Lead where she should settle and it seemed he had baggage that might propose a problem in the future. Unable to ever keep his mouth shut for long... "I'm coming with you, of course and I don't have any baggage coming along with me, either." He side glanced to Aytigin only a moment before fixing his attention back to the silver Lead.

Elias Selwyn
TLDR: Elias has noticed the yotes and wants to nope outta there

Elias' tail swished behind him in a show of appreciation. For a moment he feared that he'd overstepped his bounds, that Nin wouldn't appreciate his tenderness when there were important matters to deal with. More wolves soon entered the fray and it was apparent that not everyone was cut from the same cloth. There were wolves of all sorts here, a rag-tag group that-at least for the time being-had no sense of cohesion or unity. Which was understandable, as they'd all just more or less met.

Backage...Elias couldn't help but wince a little. He had plenty of that too, all loaded up on his back, weighing him down. But at the very least Nin knew about it, didn't seem to mind all of his faults and flaws. She'd chosen him, he ought to be honoured really- but then again it had all been a matter of circumstance. Right place at the right time. If it hadn't been Elias, any one of these males could have been the sire of her litter. Any one of them-aside the yearlings- would've done the job. Maybe even better than Elias had, try as he might it never seemed good enough.

Elias swallowed thickly as he shifted his weight from his bird-paw to the other. His ears tipped forward and his nose twitched, that was weird it was almost like....

"Nin." He nudged her gently, directing her attention towards the encroaching shapes in the not so far distance. He couldn't see their figures awfully well but his nose told them what they were. Coyotes. Again. "I really think we ought to...get a move on."

There was no use in challenging the coyotes for a woods they didn't want, weren't going to stay in.

I don't believe in no devil,'cause I done raised this hell

More wolves appeared from the forest to answer Nineva’s call leaving the youth impressed by how many she'd managed to collect. His suspicions about the reason for the call were correct as she informed them it was time to move from this place. She also informed that they would not have much time before she would be leaving. One of the men spoke about the pack he'd come from being near to the place they were going. The young Archers head turned to look at his brother as he spoke a smirk crossing his features. Leave it to Judas to make a comment like the one he had. Ramiel bumped his brothers shoulder but remained silent feeling it was rather obvious he was along for the ride.

It seemed they had not yet escaped the coyotes, “It seems we have company,” he said to no one in particular. The Archer weighed their options and decided that the blonde man had the right idea. What was the point in staying and fighting when there was possibility of injury and they had quite some distance to travel yet. “I'm with him,” he said jutting his muzzle at Elias. “Let's start our journey earlier, we can rest later,” he added even though he did feel fighting the coyotes would be good fun.

Neha Vuesain

There were no words she had to offer while Nineva began to address the wolves gathered with her. Aleister arrived just in time to be filled in, acknowledged only with a single flick of an ear. A pang of relief settled within her gut, to know that her future alpha had already scouted out a potential spot. Close to the mountain...but not too close. It would take a monumental effort on the behalf of any wolf to convince the Vuesain to settle there again. Mentally, she mapped out the route she and her litter mate had taken from the lowlands, to the northern forests and now, here in the south. Perhaps their combined knowledge of the lay of the land would come in handy. One wolf though, a dark male, raised a point of potential concern. Around the lake another pack was already established, one of which he would rather not encounter again. A brow raised, eyes turning to her distant childhood friend.

But then they had company. The shapes of coyotes emerged from the trees, creeping back to reclaim a half eaten carcass of a deer. Her eyes narrowed, hackles beginning to bristle. She and Aleister already had one encounter with overly aggressive coyotes before. Although she was with her band of wolves now, the incident was not one she wanted to repeat. Nineva's apparent partner, who looked quite familiar, suggested it was time to leave. Another wolf backed him up. "I'm with them. I think this is our cue to leave."

Neha can often be found close to Aleister's side and therefore may appear in any of his threads.

Nineva Hervok
It wasn't too long after she'd gone ahead and spoken that her brother, and Neha's as well, made their appearance. Aleister was given a nod, and Yuka a fond smile, before Aytigin's voice rose up. She fixed him with her gaze, giving him apt attention as he confessed a potential issue and his desire to avoid it. It wouldn't be a problem, but might come up again depending on where the pack ultimately chose to settle. She would definitely want a more detailed explanation, but there was no reason to ask the man to reveal this piece of his life before the entire group. It would need to be a private conversation.

"Definitely," she answered him with a nod; and then Judas took his bite.

"Then you're one of a lucky few in this world," she answered the young Archer with a small smile. This was just the beginning of them all mixing together. If the brother proved to be abrasive, it would be up to the others to find ways to get over or around it, as well as himself to prove that his attitude was worth putting up with. She would not coddle any of them.

And then, of course, the vermin arrived. A cold sigh issued from Nineva's lips as the others shifted and turned toward the wafting stench and leering eyes, Elias nudging her and speaking his opinion along with Ramiel and Neha. Her grey eye regarded the coyotes with frost and disdain. The idea of running from them was not an option in the Hervok's book, even if this wasn't the land they claimed as home.

"We'll have our resources," she determined, "let's empty our caches together, and then we'll go."

Nineva lead then, toward the nearest stash of half-eaten meat. The coyotes warily watched the large gathering of wolves, shifting and preparing to retreat but not quite ready to abandon their own meal. It was unlikely they would dare to attack as long as the gathering stayed together.

Final round guys! Let's see if we can get the last post in by the 18th. (: @Ramiel @Judas @Elias @Yuka @Aytigin @Neha @Aleister

Nineva did not meet Judas words with illness in either words or expression. What she said and the smile that touched her features caused Judas to smirk happily into her direction, his dark muzzle dipping just slightly down and to the side in respect and confirmation of his appreciation. He was a handful, for sure and only time would decide if he would truly find a good placement within the ranks of not. He had no intention of being bottom ranked when he grew up, that was for sure.

Coyote. He could smell their stench before he saw them gathered in the distance. The first to speak up about it was the man at the silver Lead's side. His brother silently bumped his shoulder then, agreeing with the blonde toned male that they should be on their way. Judas couldn't have mind a fight with the coyote though even he knew (at least once Ramiel also agreed to move on) that it would probably be best to save their energy for the travel. No use risking an injury either that might hold them back. "Maybe there will be less vermin on the other side of the mountains."

Nineva spoke her peace then, saying that they would go but they wouldn't be running off and they wouldn't be leaving anything behind, either. Attacking such a large group of wolves would be suicide in the coyotes part. Once Nineva moved off to the nearest cache the teenage boy was quick to move along with her, his tail raised up in a bold and dominant manner before the coyote. He would grab an much meat at he could and then follow his new Lead out of this forest.

Yuka Thorben

There were many wolves gathered, not that he was surprised that his sister was able to rally followers. She always had a certain charm about her. He did a once over those gathered, taking in their physique and facial features - committing them to memory. Names would be for later, maybe he would meet up with Nineva and ask. That or he was bound to hear their names passed along during their journey to their new home. Members of Nineva's gang spoke, something along the lines of a pack that they did not want to get re-entangled with on the other side of the mountain. Baggage. What else was new. Had they seen the right half of his face? He refrained from snorting, something else catching his attention. Something much more important than future subordinates trying to one-up one another.

The scent of the coyotes hit him before the sight of them did. Amber teal-flecked eyes narrowed in the direction of the vermin. He wasn't the only one that noticed though. Oh no, Nineva's male that conveniently helped her reproduce offspring and many of the others were at attention too. The blond man suggested that we get a move on, along with the agreement of other members. Yuka, however, did not move from his position, lips pulled back in a snarl. His eyes only moved to look at his sister. He was here for her, after all, and if she ordered him to kill, he would happily oblige.

The Hervok made the bigger decision though, that was probably best for the lives growing inside of her. Lips moved to cover his canines, but the Thorben trailed behind, keeping an eye on the band of coyotes and guarding his sister - and everyone else - should they decide to move closer. It was only after everyone had gathered everything that they could that Yuka made to collect his own share, trailing behind the rest of the group. Hopefully here, no one would bother him, and it would give him the opportunity to observe the rest of the group.

He was not surprised when his brother wasn't reprimanded by their lead for his words. She seemed to like a wolf that would stand their own ground. Ramiel was pleased about this but he was also aware the others might not appreciate the words Judas spoke. It didn't matter he did and always would, they were brothers and they were in this together.

As the coyotes appeared he agreed with the blond man that they should go, his agreement was soon joined by one of the females he hadn't yet met. Nineva had other plans, they would take their resources and go. He didn't have a problem with this especially since the coyotes seemed to he keeping their distance from the group.

As she and Judas moved toward the cache Ramiel followed suit. He like his brother would grab as much as he would carry before moving off in the direction their travels would take.

Elias Selwyn

There was no time to lose. The other's moved to the few caches dotted about the place, but as always Elias stuck closely to Nin's side. There was no mistaking that she was a formidable woman, more than capable of looking after herself but he worried nonetheless. He stuck firmly to her side as she moved, deliberately putting himself as a meat shield between the coyotes and the soon to be queen.

They had the numbers though, so it was hardly as if he'd have to fight them all off on his own but...Maybe, a little selfishly he wanted to be the one to protect Nin. He wanted her to be as fond of him as he was her, he wanted her to look at him and be impressed, proud of what she saw. It was silly, he knew that, Nineva had much more important things to think about these days- Elias was just another face in the crowd.

"Let me help." He urged, gently.Though he did not coddle her it was clear he had every intention of lessening her burden if he could.
