Aurek Artemieva
OOC: Copy. Again feel free to power play Aurek. ^^
@Elyan

Aurek agreed with Elyan's reasoning. Aurek was entirely pale with his pelt color which made him blend better against the winter scenery. He could possibly get little closer than his friend before being noticed, although he was aware that hares - while having fairly bad eye sight - could see movement just as well as its predators. Those large ears also made it more difficult to get near undetected. He would let Elyan decide which one of them would do the chasing and which one would wait in ambush.

"Just give the word." -he whispered, signaling that he was in agreement with Elyan's plan.

They would have to move quietly but swiftly if the hoped to catch the hare they had been stalking. The former notch pup relayed his idea to his companion before they moved in for the kill. If luck was on their side then they would both be eating in a matter of moments. “I’ll chase it toward you,” he said as he'd thought about it and decided he should be the one since he would be more easily seen.

When Aurek seemed to be in agreement Elyan gave a nod, “Let's go,” he said before starting to creep swiftly in a the direction that would put him directly behind the hare. Once he was there he began the chase.

@Elyan

Aurek did his part, laying down and waiting for his part, his almost pure white form blending well against the snowy background. He tried to calm down and remain quiet despite hunger was continuously nagging him. It felt almost like it was taking forever for Elyan to circle around and then begin the chase. Eternity of boredom - then short, quick flash of adrenaline and action. Least that was how Aurek felt it.

Elyan did his part well enough, sending the hare almost directly on Aurek's path. No, fucking amazing. The hare was literally running straight at him. Aurek did not move until the very last second, giving the hare shortest chase he had ever done in hunting. He almost missed but caught the prey by its leg when it was trying to dash into another direction.

And there, from his jaws hung screaming hare, still trying to run on the air while Aurek held it. Usually at this point the prey was dead. He had never heard hare scream and it was curious sound indeed. Enough of that however. Aurek gave the hare good shaking, silencing the poor creature. "Good chase." -He complimented Elyan while laying their meal to the ground. Sharing was always bit tense moment, although thus far they had managed fine enough with it. It was Elyan's turn to be in charge, so he should also decide how the meal was shared.

Elyan had crept around keeping to the shadows which were more prominent now that night was setting in. Mismatched gaze remained focused on the hare as he crept through the underbrush for any sign it was aware that it was being stalked. He quickly discovered that he rather liked the feeling of stalking his prey undetected.

When he reached his position, one that he hoped would put him on course to chase the hare right into Aurek’s waiting jaws he checked for his companions position. His friend was barely noticeable in the dimming light against the snow but Elyan made the faint outline of Aurek's body as he waited.

It was time and like a shot Elyan was chasing the hare down a straight path to its demise. He couldn't have hoped for better results as he watched the creature run at full speed to his waiting companion. How Aurek had almost missed it was beyond him. The steaming of the scared creature causing him to want to cover his ears. Thankfully it was over soon enough and then the hare was laying still at their feet, “Thanks, good catch.” Had it not been they might have lost their dinner. “We can split it down the middle,” he suggested as he looked down at their prize.

OOC: We can pretty much fade here with them splitting up the food and nom nom :D? Sorry for delay.

Fifty fifty was about as fair as this could get between the two. Aurek agreed with a nod. Normally he would argue over which one of them would get the juicier rear end with more meat over bone, but right now he was too hungry and little bit too tired to think about agruing with Elyan. He put his jaws around the hare's head and then looked up at Elyan, waving his tail tensely.

"Pull. Lets see how even this splits." -He growled at his friend playfully. Sharing food was always bit tense moment for Aurek, perhaps due to his sibling rivarlies back home. Aurek had no beef with Elyan and he thruly wanted to share, but he would always slip growl or two if there was food inbetween them.

Fading and Archiving

Luck had been on their side that night bringing them success in their hunt. The decision had been his on what they should do with their catch and Elyan had decided that they should split it in half. Though it wasn't completely fair as one side if the rabbit was certainly more meaty than the other whatever they each got would stop their stomachs from grumbling.

Aurek had taken the hares head and told him to pull. Elyan wouldn't argue and take whatever he would get. They could hunt again tomorrow but at least they wouldn't have to sleep on completely empty stomachs. He gripped the hare’s rump in his jaws and began pulling ignoring the growls of his companion.
