The Wolves of Fools Gold Chasm.

• Navigation: Central-Eastern part of Relic Lore, near the northernmost foothills of Sierra Hills.

• Den Description: Located right near the intersection of Secret Falls, Sierra Hills, and the Red Fern Forest, Fool’s Gold Chasm hosts a plethora of different landforms. The water from Secret Falls has eroded away at the rocky earth provided by the Sierra hills to form various hidden caverns that dot the landscape, some small and some large. At the center of the territory, a large chasm has formed, tucked away into a risen piece of land. If you enter from the eastern edge, it’ll seem like you’re simply walking up a hill. But, the ground quickly drops away to fall several feet into a rocky flat. Approaching from the western side, you’ll find a crevice hidden by the red ferns that seem to take over the landscape, wide enough to let a few wolves through a once. Upon entering, several mossy stones form a surface of perfectly good sunning rocks that cascade down to a small, clear freshwater pond. During the night, the back half is typically vacant because it becomes so dark one cannot see. Veins of iron pyrite glow golden during the daytime, giving it its name. The chasm is naturally insulated as a cave, so it stays around 60F/15C year-round.
