Talk of the coyotes caused the healers brow to furrow, he knew of the problem they had been around the surge. Already he'd faced them twice and now Cajun was stating they were a problem on the other side of the mountain as well. Which lead Emrys to wonder how extensive it was and if it would get worse. This knowledge made it even more apparent that taking this young wolf into the surge would be in the best interest of the pack.

As Lachesis stated strength in numbers, they would need the numbers to defend the pack and their lands. Whether Cajun stayed or not he would help while he was there. He also seemed eager to help, those words seemed to sway the alpha into accepting him.

As his name was mentioned he nodded, “Of course, I would be happy to give a tour and show you where you can rest and get something to eat.” He'd noticed the condition of the boy when he first saw him, “You won't be able to help as you like if you don't keep your strength up.” That said he turned with Lachesis to lead Cajun back into the territory.

He felt a smile bloom across his features as he was taken into the fold. It seemed that it had helped they had common ground over the coyotes, though he wished it had been a better thing to unite them. Still, it was relieving, and relief was certainly one thing that he was in need of without much realizing.

As Lachesis departed, he turned his focus to the other—Emrys—and offered him a nod. A bit of rest would do him good, but food would have been better. It was hard enough to risk carting a kill somewhere safe when there were other hungry eyes watching. And the tour of course wouldn't hurt either. There was much to see and learn and none of it would come instantly in spite of best attempts.

Falling into step as he was led inward to Driftwood's territory, another rough grumble of the skies sounded overhead. It was apt timing on their part to head in, for in the minutes that followed the rain was sure to fall and the wind to come.
