Aurek Artemieva

Having never been in real fight before, Aurek had no proper approach when he attacked, thus getting struck in return. His injuries were only superficial, mainly scratches on his chest and around fore legs, seeming more serious than what they were because of his white fur. Still, getting hurt and bleeding was adrenaline bumping.

The biting ceased however quickly as the older male joined the slaughter and practically ended the struggle with single strike. Aurek felt coyote's jaws ease on his leg as the creature fell limp and it took a moment for the pale boy to even register the kill, or realize what they had done. "... we got it? We won!?"

Elyan Myrddin

Through it all Elyan never let go of the grasp he had on the coyotes leg. When he discovered Aurek was injured he made to cause even more damage to the lesser canine. He didn't have to as he saw from the corner of his eye the large stranger stepped in and in one action had ended the coyotes life. For a slight moment after he felt the creature go limp in his jaws he held on before finally letting the animal drop unceremoniously to the ground.

What respect did it deserve after the things that it and it's brothers had done to Elyans kind. He wasn't even aware of it all but he knew that he and Aurek hadn't been the only ones harassed. “I told you we’d show them,” he stated with some arrogance in his tone. He'd had no doing they would come out on top and now the other two were running off. “Maybe that will keep them away from us from now on.” He could hope of course.

Garmir Ghostpaw

"For a while maybe." -Garmir murmured in agreement to Elyan's words. This particular group of coyotes sure wasn't going to be much of a trouble for now, but Garmir knew there were far more awaiting in the woods. "You two did fine - even you, snowball." -He continued, his tone little more light hearted despite there was literal murder victim laying between them three.

Garmir kicked the corpse once with his paw and then turned towards the lake to go and wash the taste of coyote blood from his mouth. He could hear Aurek protesting over the nickname he had been given.

Aurek Artemieva
@Elyan I guess one more round of posts and then exit?

Aurek felt conflicted. Seeing coyote die partly by his actions was powerful feeling but at the same time weighting on him. He had just partaken in murder of another predator - a cousin to wolves none the less and while he felt thriumph and joy on one side, he did also feel guilty.

Elyan seemed to be proud of his work, more cocky with his tone and Aurek latched onto that, joing his battle brother in celebration. There was no doupt had the roles been reversed the boys might have ended up dead themselves or least seriously mangled. This was right and hopefully it would keep coyotes away for a while. Aurek gave his friend a bump, unintentionally getting his own blood now on Elyan's flank. The pale boy had few light puncturing wounds which were not serious but did bleed impressively all over his white coat. He almost hoped they would have been deeper so that he would get few scars of his own - in belief that girls liked it more.

If he had worried about anything, Garmir again calling him snowball did get his mind off from that. Aurek did not like that nickname the least. "My name is Aurek! Not a snowball you..." -He actually did not dare to call names on the older man.

Elyan Myrddin
Works for me.

The large male agreed that the coyotes might leave them alone for awhile, maybe the rest of the time they were at the lake. If not they had taken care of this group, why couldn't they take care of another. Elyans chest puffed out just a little when the stranger said they'd done well, “Thanks, it was a good thing you were here,” because he of course recognized that they probably wouldn't have been able to do it without the strange man.

The yearling smiled when his friend bumped him, “You alright?” He asked as a friend should after Aurek had received so many wounds even if they were small. As for their victim his mismatched gaze fell to it, his feeling. It knew what could happen and it and it's friends still chose to mess with them. He felt no guilt over what had happened, it was the wolves or the coyotes.

“You know Aurek, Snowballs not a bad nickname,” he teased before jumping away certain there would be some kind of retaliation.

Garmir Ghostpaw

Garmir gave no further words, instead focusing on washing his mouth in the lake water to get the taste of their kill off him. He was less concerned for taking lesser canine's life as white youngster might have been. It was in every account justified in his books and while he did not particularly enjoy killing - this scuffled certainly gave important lesson for the remaining coyotes - a reminder that wolves were and always would be above them.

While he did not word it yet tell of his further intentions, he did plan to remain with the two youngsters for a while longer - both to make sure that the coyotes indeed were gone - or that there would not come more of them - but also to rest. During the incident he had noticed how tired he was and if the two could do a favor of watching his back while he took a nap, it would go long way in his books. He did have to ask about Triell too just in case.

Aurek Artemieva

What little concern he had over the death of coyote earlier was soon absent from his mind as the topic of his nickname and the strange man's rude way of just ignoring him begin to take priority. Elyan caught up onto it quick, apparantly liking the name snowball. Being unable to take his frustration on Garmir due to fear of him, Elyan instead directed all of it towards his friend whom was less scary. Of course, Elyan was able to predict his reaction and was already way out of the way by the time Aurek snapped at him. "Its horrible!"

He swore if Elyan was going to begin using it, he would have to invent something worse. He did not have anything in his mind off the bat, but he could propably manage to find something. Lunging at Elyan brought attention to his wounds. Having to move his muscles did have a bit of a sting. He ceased trying to chase his friend and instead turned his nose down towards his chest and foreleg, trying to lick himself. Coyotes did have some teeth it seemed, though had it been wolf biting him, results would have no doupt been worse. Still, he hoped this would leave some epic battle scars so that he could some day recount the heroic stories of him defeating the coyotes all alone... with maybe little bit help from Elyan and the strange man..

- And they lived happily ever after (?) -

Elyan Myrddin

The coyote threat seemed to be absolved for the time being at least which meant they could relax a little. Elyan hoped they would stay away but he doubted they would. For the time being he thought they should stay at the lake, any Coyotes in the area would probably learn of what had happened. It could keep them away which would give him and Aurek the time to really rest, something they needed. Aurek on the other paw wanted to declare just how much he disliked the nickname given to him. He even went so far as the snap at the grey Yearling, “Alright, it's horrible and it will be never come out again.”

Elyan smirked though as he started for the lake to get a drink of water and wash the dirty coyote fur and blood from his mouth. He wasn't quite done yet though. With a look over his shoulder her smiled mischievously at his companion. “Maybe you should clean yourself up snowball,” he teased. He was done now having used the nickname one last time. He rather did enjoy poking fun at his friend.
