The way south was led by Cali the river guardian. She said that perhaps this Elettra- queen of Willow Ridge- could shed some light on the whereabouts of Ash and Nina and perhaps lead her in the right direction. The yearling had high hopes about this adventure, particularly because this time she had someone at her side. The duo chatted about different things and Eva began to feel more comfortable in her skin around this wolf. She was very grateful that the white wolf was taking time out of her day and guarding duties to accompany a small wolf looking for family. If only she could articulate this feeling into words.
As they walked, Eva did not see many landmarks that stuck out to her. There was a whole forest of trees though. They looked very inviting, and certainly a nice place for a nap. However she couldn't rest now when they were so close to Willow Ridge territory. Plus taking up more of Cali's time than needed was not something she wanted to do when she should be re-paying the wolf.
Soon enough they reached some kind of border. Sniffing the ground beneath her feet, Eva could scent a variety of smells indicating a warning and that she should stay away if not welcome. The yearling took this time to sit down and wait to see what Cali thought about the situation. Eva assumed that Willow Ridge would be more open to speaking to an old friend rather than a small, one-good-eyed yearling that didn't really like to talk. As usual when she was confronted with meeting new wolves, Eva wondered how they would react to her. So far nothing bad had really happened when she first met these wolves, though you could never be sure with strangers. Eva decided that if Cali trusted them she could trust them too.
