Having grown fed up with the lack of progress in the shifting male ranks of her mothers pack, and feeling herself driven out by the inability of older members to accept change, Morganna Archer and Craw formed a partnership in the dead of the night, hatching plans to see them freed from the rut in which they found themselves stuck. Hastily, they gathered those they trusted and departed from the Willows within the month, turning their sights to the North, where Craw had his own quiet ambitions, and Morganna's desire for travel had not taken her yet.

With the leading lady heavily pregnant, the need to find somewhere suitable was given a time limit. After a little over a week of travelling, the small band crossed the tundra and came upon what would be their new home. Having never seen such a landmark before and with no name to place on it, Morganna turned to Craw and asked a simple question. "What is it?" Her partner answered in an easy certain manner that such landmarks were referred to as 'monadnocks' in the lands from where he came, and so it was named - chosen for its strong defensible qualities and outlook over the lowlands below.

When they finally made the arduous trek to its flat topped peak, the first waves of labour hit Morganna as thunder rolled overhead. It was neither a quick process nor a comfortable one as thunderstorms clattered overhead. With no den in which to give birth she managed to scrape out a divot sheltered between pale rocks (though sparing her little of the rain) and as day broke and the storm clouds were chased away two children were born surrounded by hidden streaks of gold.

Pack pride colors for Whitestone Monadnock are "Bitter Stone (#85896E )" and "Old Aztec Gold (#CFB53B )".

Territory Appearance

The monadnock the pack lives on looks is based on the Pietra di Bismantova, without the trees and in the middle of the tundra. The organ-piping visible on the southern face is inspired by the real-life structure of Sawn Rocks, Australia.

• Navigation: Northern most quadrant of Relic Lore, in the mid-northern section of the Larkcall Lowlands.
• Den Description: At the farflung northern reaches of the Lowlands rises an imposing promontory, its craggy southern face adorned with hexagonal organ-pipe columns - a silent reminder of a long since extinct volcano. A small shallow lake at its base is littered with the scattered debris of columns that have succumbed to gravity, some larger than a wolf on his rear legs is tall. When you finally manage to skirt the water and traverse the steep and rocky ‘goat track’ to the peak of this imposing structure, a grassed flat top awaits - marred only by a scattered reef of granite and quartz. On closer inspection, the pale rocks are veined with gold, although this is usually only apparent when the stones are kissed with the first rays of morning sun, or when the sun first breaks through the clouds after a summer storm.

Notes & Trivia.

• Primarily a Neutral pack, those who are chaotically inclined may not adjust well to the expectation of respect this group requires. Morally, the pack is a lot more diverse, with evil, neutral and good characters.
• Wolves with a high drive for work and success are best fitting in this pack, as laziness will make for an easy ticket out.
• Nothing will be handed to the wolves that choose to make this pack their own. Those who ask for unearned position will be told If you want it, take it.
• Pack members are family. Any betrayals of trust are not easily forgiven. Fool us once...
• Relationships are reinforced on a daily basis through regular interactions.

Important Events.

These are the noteworthy events that have taken place in the history of the Whitestone Monadnock pack. They can include pack meetings, changes in leadership, births or deaths, etc.

1. 06/05/16
2. Morganna and Craw lead Wraith, Isuni, Greer and Celandine north after leaving Willow Ridge, when a violent thunderstorm heralds the start of Morganna's labour. The wolves take shelter on the nearby monadnock, clearing it and the surrounding area of rivals, and soon claim it as their own.
3. 03/31/17
4. Morganna, taking her children Kara and Odin, headed off towards her mother's home to give her family the news of Elettra's passing, leaving Craw to pursue behind. Wraith and Piety, the mated Second pair, have taken over as new leaders of the pack, ushering forward a new era in the North.
5. 05/01/17
6. Piety finally gives birth to her and Wraith's children. Despite one lost they came out with a healthy boy, Cyril.
7. 05/23/17
8. The Monadnock's only child of this year, Cyril, finally makes an apperence from the birthing den.
9. 07/03/17
10. Odin returns to Whitestone Monadnock seeking to come back home after his stay in Torbine
11. 11/28/17
12. In an attempt to save Cyril, Wraith is impaled by an antler. Leaving the King of the North deceased.
13. 11/29/17
14. The morning after her mate's death, Piety makes her intentions to disband Whitestone Monadnock clear.

History.

This is the history for the Whitestone Monadnock pack.

May 6 The pack is founded when Morganna goes into labour and delivers two pups in the middle of a storm.
June 1 a funnel cloud forms over Whitestone when half the pack is out in the tundra, prompting brief panic - except in Capable, who sees it as a sign that the pack is being judged worthy
May~June ? Craw and Celandine travel to Broken Timber Pines to see if Maeve really does live there
June 10 Renier finds Whitestone after leaving Willow Ridge, but, once Craw and Morganna arrive, rejects himself on their behalf and leaves the area
June 17 Lachesis Stark, from Hearthwood River, requests an audience to meet the new neighbours, and is answered by Craw and Wraith
June 21 Craw brings the loner Lorcan to meet Morganna and join the pack
June 24 Morganna and Craw discuss her desires to visit Willow Ridge again - amongst other topics.
Jul 2 Morganna discovers evidence that suggests that Renier is still lurking nearby.
Jul 4 Wraith and Craw come across one of the north's more special wolves, Sylva of White Fir Notch - and when the encounter goes south, she calls for her leader, Gent, but the two leaders part ways without hostility

Dec 2~ Odin and Sara find the injured Anaia at the same time as Adelayde, and convince her to come back to Whitestone to get help, where Craw accepts her - as Lowest, until she is able to prove her worth and repay the pack.
Dec 10 Drestig and Jessie, of Wild Rye Fields, approach Whitestone to discuss pack relations.
Dec 11 Craw has an encounter with a stranger who knows way too much
Dec 14 Craw visits White Fir Notch, alone, to learn more of the pack and establish relations
